The SSC CGL is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for various posts in Group “B” and Group “C”. SSC CGL 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has set parameters for minimum eligibility criteria including education qualifications, age limit, and nationality.

SSC CGL Educational Qualification
  • For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with a minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th
    or in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
  • For Statistical Investigator Grade-II- Graduation Degree from any recognized University with Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics as a compulsory or Elective Subject.
  • For Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of one year of research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution.
  • For Remaining posts- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.
SSC CGL Age Limit
  • The candidates will be required to confirm the age limit criteria before applying for the exam.
  • 18 to 32 years (varies by post).
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
Nationality
  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • A candidate must be a citizen/subject of either India/Nepal/Bhutan/a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CGL 2025 – Online Application Form

The registration process for the SSC CGL 2025 exam will be conducted in online mode. All eligible candidates can fill the online application from the official website of SSC www.ssc.gov.in. Here is the process to fill the SSC CGL 2025 Online Application Form.

  • Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC),ssc.gov.in
  • Register through the (OTR) “One Time Registration” System.
  • Fill the all required information in the application form.
  • Upload the required documents and photograph.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
Application Fee :
  • General/OBC: 100/-
  • SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen: No Fee

SSC CGL 2025 – Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Selection Process consists of two stages, Tier – 1 and Tier – 2.

Tier – 1 :
  • The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam is a qualifying exam, and the score obtained in this exam will not be considered for the final selection.
  • Mode : Computer Based Test.
  • Duration : 60 min.
  • Negative Marking : 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
  • Marks : 200 marks

Tier – 2 :
