FMGE 2025 December Session

 The Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) is a mandatory licensing exam for Indian and OCI Candidates who have Completed their MBBS aboard and want to practice medicine in India. The application process for the FMGE December 2025 session is currently open, having Started On November,14 2025. The final deadline to submit the online application is December 4, 2025. 
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts this exam for Indian citizens and OCIs with a foreign medical qualification who wish to practice in India.

Eligibility :

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • Medical Qualification: The applicant must possess a primary medical qualification (equivalent to an MBBS degree in India) awarded by a recognized institution outside India.
  • Internship: in India is NOT needed before FMGE, It is done after passing the exam.
  • Mandatory Documents:
    • Passport with citizenship proof
    • FMGE eligibility certificate from NMC (if applicable)
    • Degree certificate / Provisional pass certificate
    • proof of completing the course
  • Age Limit: There is no specific minimum or maximum age limit for the FMGE exam.

Application Process:

  1. Registration:
    • Visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
    • Find the “FMGE December 2025” application link in the “Examinations” section.
    • Click on “New Registration” and provide basic details like your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, and nationality.
    • Upon successful registration, a User ID and Password will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
  2. Filling the Application Form:
    • Log in using the credentials provided.
    • Fill out the application form with comprehensive personal, academic, and contact details.
    • Select the preferred examination city from the available list of options.
  3. Uploading Documents:
    • Upload scanned copies of required documents in the format and size specified in the information bulletin. This typically includes:
      • Recent photograph
      • Signature
      • Left thumb impression
      • Primary Medical Qualification Degree
      • Attestation Certificate from the Indian Embassy
      • NEET-UG result (if applicable)
      • Passport
      • Eligibility Certificate (if applicable)
  4. Submission and Confirmation:
    • Review all entered information thoroughly before final submission. Note that some key fields (like name, DOB, nationality) cannot be edited after the submission deadline.
    • Submit the form.
    • Print the confirmation page for your records.

Application Fee:

  • Pay the application fee of ₹6,195 (including 18% GST) online.
  • Payment can be made using a credit card, debit card, or Net Banking.

Selection Process:

  1. Appear for the CBT exam
  2. Score 150/300 to qualify
  3. Attend verification to receive the FMGE Pass Certificate
  4. Apply to NMC/State – Medical Council for Provisional Registration
  5. Begin Mandatory 1 -Year internship in India.
No Interviews :
The selection process ends with the declaration of results. There are no interviews, separate counseling sessions, or additional stages managed by NBEMS for “selection” beyond the minimum pass mark requirement. The entire process hinges on clearing the examination.
