Education Qualification :

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Any Stream, with 60% Marks for General/ OBC/ EWS and 55% Marks for SC/ST Candidates OR Equivalent Eligibility From Any Recognised University/ Institution in India.
  • Master’s Degree OR Equivalent Eligibility From Any Recognised University/ Institution in India. with 60% Marks for General/ OBC/ EWS and 55% Marks for SC/ST Candidates with One of the Following Combinations
  • Master’s Degree in Hindi with English at the Degree Level (as a compulsory, elective subject, or medium of examination).
  • Master’s Degree in Any Subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English at the Degree Level (as a compulsory, elective subject, or medium of examination).

Nationality

Candidates must be citizens of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers: 
This stream has an objective test focused on professional knowledge. The sections include Reasoning, English Language, Professional Knowledge (Hindi & English grammar/vocabulary, official language rules), General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. 
Descriptive Test Pattern (Qualifying)
This section is also qualifying in nature, but candidates must pass it for the interview stage. 
  • Generalist Officers: A 30-minute test worth 30 marks, requiring typing on the computer for tasks like Essay (20 marks) and Précis writing (10 marks).
  • Hindi Officers: A 60-minute test worth 50 marks, involving tasks such as English Essay, Hindi Essay, Hindi Letter Writing, English to Hindi Translation, and Hindi to English Translation.

Syllabus :

The syllabus covers a wide range of topics in each section: 
  • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles & Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Input-Output, Coding-Decoding, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning, and more.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification & Approximation, Number Series, Inequalities, Data Interpretation (various chart types), Arithmetic topics (Profit & Loss, Time & Work, S.I./C.I., etc.).
  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Sentence Correction/Improvement, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, and Vocabulary-based questions.
  • General Awareness: Current Affairs, Banking and Insurance awareness, Indian Financial System, Government Schemes, Awards, Summits, and Economic Terminologies.
