  • Mandatory: Only candidates who are domicile residents of the North Eastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura) are eligible to apply.

  • Junior Assistant (HR & Fire Services): ₹31,000 – ₹92,000 (NE-4 Pay Scale)

Exam Pattern :

  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total Marks: 100 marks.
  • Negative Marking: There is typically no negative marking for wrong answers in AAI non-executive exams.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates need a minimum of 50% for UR/EWS/OBC and 40% for SC/ST categories to pass the CBT.

Syllabus :

Post-Specific Subjects (Part A)
The domain knowledge syllabus is based on the technical or professional qualifications required for the post:
  • Senior Assistant (Electronics): Topics will relate to Diploma-level Electronics, Telecommunication, and Radio Engineering subjects.
  • Junior Assistant (HR): Topics cover basic office management, HR functions, office communication, record management, behavioral skills, and official language acts. (A Computer Literacy Test in MS Office is also a qualifying stage for this post).
  • Junior Assistant (Fire Services): Topics are relevant to Mechanical/Automobile/Fire Engineering diploma subjects, along with practical knowledge requirements for the physical tests.

Common General Subjects (Part B)

The general section typically covers:
  • General Knowledge (GK) & Current Affairs: National and international affairs, history, geography, Indian economy, constitution, government schemes, awards, etc..
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analytical reasoning, blood relations, puzzles, coding-decoding, series, analogies, etc..
  • General Aptitude/Quantitative Aptitude: Percentage, profit and loss, time and work, time and distance, simple/compound interest, data interpretation, algebra, mensuration, etc..
  • English Language & Comprehension: Grammar, vocabulary (synonyms/antonyms), reading comprehension, error spotting, sentence improvement, etc..

  • General, OBC, and EWS Category (Male Candidates Only): ₹1000 (Rupees One Thousand only).
  • Exempted Categories: The following candidates are exempted from paying any application fee:
    • Women Candidates

    • Scheduled Tribes (ST)
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
    • Ex-Servicemen
    • Apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeship training in AAI

  3. Login and fill in the application form with personal, academic, and category details.
  4. Upload required documents:
    • Photograph (50–100 KB, JPG, white background, 3.5×4.5 cm)
    • Signature (50–100 KB, JPG, black ink on white)
    • Educational certificates, domicile, caste/category certificates, driving license (if applicable), etc. (max 1 MB each)
