Bank of India has released the Credit Officer Recruitment 2025–26 notification for a total of 514 vacancies in the General Banking Officer (GBO) / Credit Officer cadre across MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV scales. Bank of India Credit Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility :

Educational Qualification:
  • A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
  • Professional qualifications like CA, CFA, ICWA, or an MBA in Banking/Finance are preferred for certain scales.

Age Limit:

  • MMGS-II: 25 to 35 years
  • MMGS-III: 28 to 38 years
  • SMGS-IV: 30 to 40 years
Experience:
  • Post-qualification experience in a credit-related role is mandatory for all positions, with required experience ranging from 3 to 8 years depending on the specific scale.

Security Deposit (Bond Period)

Syllabus :

The general sections include English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The English Language section covers topics such as Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Fill in the Blanks, and Vocabulary. Reasoning Ability includes Puzzles, Syllogism, Inequality, Coding-Decoding, and other logical reasoning topics. Quantitative Aptitude focuses on Simplification, Number Series, Data Interpretation, and Arithmetic word problems.
The Professional Knowledge section covers topics crucial for the credit officer role, such as Principles of Banking, Types of Loans, Credit Appraisal, Risk and NPA Management, Financial Statement Analysis, and RBI Guidelines.

Bank of India Credit Officer Recruitment 2026 Selection Process :

Stage 1: Online Examination
  • Candidates must appear for an objective-type online test.
  • The exam covers English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge.
  • The total marks for the exam are 150.
  • Marks obtained in the Professional Knowledge, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude sections are considered for the final merit list. The English Language section is qualifying only.
  • A negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer applies.
Stage 2: Personal Interview
  • Candidates who clear the cut-off marks in the online examination are shortlisted for a personal interview.
  • The interview assesses soft skills, professional knowledge, communication skills, and general aptitude for the banking sector.
  • Weightage: The final merit list is based on a combined score from the Online Examination and the Personal Interview, with a weightage ratio of 70:30 respectively.
