Eligibility :

  • Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required is a pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th class with an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution (NCVT/SCVT).
  • SSLC / 10th Pass, and
  • ITI / NCVT Certificate in the relevant trade with good academic performance.

Age Limit :

  • Minimum Age : 18 Years
  • Maximum age : 35 Years

    • OBC + 3 Years

Exam Pattern :

  • Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total Questions: 80 questions.
  • Duration: 90 minutes (1.5 hours).
  • Marking Scheme:
    • +3 marks for every correct answer.
    • -1 mark for every incorrect answer (negative marking applies).
  • Mode: Conducted online (CBT).
Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage based on their written test scores in a ratio of 1:5 (or as determined by NRSC).
   2. Skill Test
  • Practical test in the specific ITI trade
  • Qualifying in nature
  • Final merit based on written exam marks only

Syllabus :

  • For Technician-B/Draughtsman-B posts: The syllabus aligns with the curriculum of the ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in the respective trade (e.g., Electronic Mechanic, Information Technology, Electrical, Draughtsman (Mechanical)). Questions cover fundamental concepts, practical application theory, and trade-specific knowledge.
  • For Technical Assistant posts: The syllabus is based on the Diploma curriculum in the relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering).

Application Process :

Applications must be submitted online via the official NRSC website. The application window is open from November 10, 2025, to November 30, 2025.

  • Application Fee: All candidates must initially pay a processing fee of ₹500/- for Technician/Draughtsman posts and ₹750/- for Technical Assistant posts.
  • Refund Policy: The processing fee is fully or partially refundable only to candidates who appear for the written test.
    • Women, SC/ST/PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates get a full refund of the processing fee upon appearing for the CBT.
    • Other candidates will have a non-refundable application fee (₹100 for Technician B; ₹250 for Technical Assistant) deducted from their processing fee, with the remainder refunded if they appear for the CBT.

Selection Process :

  1. Written Test: This is an online Computer Based Test (CBT) that serves as the primary screening method. Candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test based on their performance in the written exam.
  2. Skill Test: This test is qualifying in nature, on a “go-no-go” basis, meaning candidates must pass it to be considered for final selection. Final selection is based solely on the marks obtained in the written test, provided the candidate qualifies the skill test.
