A total of 25,487 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Constable (GD) in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

These vacancies are distributed across forces including BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, and SSF. The largest number of openings is in the CISF (14,595 posts).
Eligibility :
Candidates must meet specific criteria regarding nationality, education, and age as of the cutoff date (usually January 1, 2026).
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th standard) examination from a recognized Board or University.
- Age Limit: The age of the applicant must be between 18 and 23 years as of January 1, 2026.
- Age Relaxation: Relaxations in the upper age limit are provided for reserved categories as per government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deduction of military service)

Exam Pattern :
The selection process begins with a Computer-Based Examination (CBE). This exam is an objective-type paper consisting of 80 questions, each carrying 2 marks. The total exam duration is 60 minutes.

Physical Standards (PET & PST)
Candidates who clear the CBE are called for the PET and PST.

- Female: 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes (or 800 meters in 4 minutes for specific regions).
- PST (Measurements):
